Cloth and Connection
The piece ‘Cloth & Connection’ came out of the research I was doing on an essay about feminist interventions in contemporary art, where I focussed on the fibre art/ fine art movement. This piece also links into the Intimicy and Oil Pastel work I do.

I wanted to highlight the laborious nature of embroidering this piece so I put on a joint exhibition/ performance with myself and Hannah Jauss. Hannah exhibited her intimate bedsheets embroidered with hair and I embroidered into knit wear for 7 hours.
The concept being how intimate textiles are since we wear them throughout our lives, sleep in them, party in them, live in them. The above quote really resonates with this.
Mind
The piece ‘Mind’ : exhibited at Floozy February 2025, was an experiment in large scale textile installation. Knit entirely by arm and suspended from the ceiling above a sofa, I wanted to create a slightly overwhelming and immersive experience.
The metal dangly bits refer to my previous work ‘Chains of thought’ (found in Foundation) and you could say this installation is an extension of that concept.

Lace and environmental installation
During the summer of 2026, I have been looking into the history and different methods of lace making.
I want to combine different aspects of my practice (textiles and floristry) and experiment with the installation of lace on contorted hazel branches to begin with. This is very much in progress and a preparatory piece for bigger ideas to come in collaboration with Jan at Stems of Windsor.
